Greg French is well known and highly regarded in the club industry and has a tremendous background and high experience level at upscale clubs and high-end operations. A graduate of Appalachian State University, Greg started in the golf and club industry working with the Landmark Land Company, an extremely well known 5 star real estate and golf company. Greg became the Head Golf Professional at Mission Hills Country club in Palm Springs, California and later became the Director of Golf at the Mission Hills Resort. Greg then moved to Kiawah Island, South Carolina where he was instrumental in developing the famous Ocean Course. Greg became the General manager and Director of Golf at the Ocean Course and hosted the 1991 Ryder Cup Matches. Greg moved from the Ocean Course at Kiawah Island to the River Club, a prestigious upscale private club. More recently Greg has worked as a Director of Club Operations for Western Golf and a V.P. of Golf Operations for Benchmark Hospitality. In those roles Greg was responsible for hiring and training General Managers and overseeing upscale multi club operations. Greg is a member of the Club manager’s Association of America and the PGA of America. Greg, his wife Valerie and their children, Mattie and Taylor live in the Woodlands. Greg is extremely excited to meet the Club’s membership and continue to help Raveneaux become one of the finest private clubs in the Houston market. Please welcome Greg and his family to the Club. |
