Hole 1 - Yards - Par 4 - The starting hole at Raveneaux requires only a short tee shot to place your ball at the corner of the dogleg, setting up a mid to short iron approach to a well-guarded and elevated green. Favor the middle of the green as the green slopes off on both front-right and back-left sides.

Hole 2 - Yards - Par 5 - One of the most demanding par 5 holes you will play. A three-shot hole measuring over 600 yards from the back tee, the second requires length to carry Cypress Creek off the tee, and accuracy to avoid the continuation of the creek on the left side and tall trees on the right side. One of the largest greens on the course also slopes severely from left to right, making putting difficult.

Hole 3 - Yards - Par 4 - A strategically placed fairway bunker and trees on the right side prevent a player from letting loose on a tee shot here. The approach shot to the green must carry the deep bunker guarding the front. A miss hit to the left will create a tough up and down from the lower collection area.

Hole 4 - Yards - Par 3 - A variety of possible tee and pin placements, and an island of trees create several different looks on this medium length par three hole. The green's contours have aided in many hole-in-ones on the front left portion, but also make it difficult to get it close to a middle pin.

Hole 5 - Yards - Par 4 - This short, but demanding dogleg left hole requires length off the tee to both avoid the water and get to the corner for a clear shot to the green. The elevated green makes it difficult to stop the ball on the shallow right side after clearing the menacing front bunker. Par is a good score on this hole.

Hole 6 - Yards - Par 4 - Don't let your eyes deceive you on this dogleg right hole. Cutting the corner is a difficult shot. A tee shot just short of the bunkers will leave a short to mid-iron approach. The green is guarded by a front bunker and a tree overhanging the right side.

Hole 7 - Yards - Par 4 - The ideal tee shot on the seventh hole is left of the steep fairway bunker to the right and short of the water on the left. Proper club selection is crucial to get it close on this two-tiered green which is guarded by a large bunker on the front right side.

Hole 8 - Yards - Par 3 - Although it is a short par three, a south wind will make this already visually intimidating hole an incredible challenge. A bailout to the right will leave a downhill bunker shot toward the water. The deep green can mean a three club difference from front to back. Easily the toughest par three hole at Raveneaux.

Hole 9 - Yards - Par 4 - The first of back-to-back demanding par fours, the ninth hole will test your length. The landing area narrows with two fairway bunkers on the left. Typically a mid to long-iron approach, the green is guarded by trees, bunkers and mounding on both sides. The deep but narrow green slopes from left to right.

Hole 10 - Yards - Par 4 - The tenth hole is a par five for ladies, and a long, difficult par four for men. A lot of length is needed off the tee to clear the corner of this dogleg right hole. Trees to the right, water and difficult fairway bunkers to the left put a premium on accuracy off the tee as well. Many players will be short of the well-guarded green attempting to get up and down for a par here.

Hole 11 - Yards - Par 4 - A relatively straight par four hole is made difficult by trees to the left and mounding to the right. A short to mid-iron approach to the middle of the green is the best play here. Four bunkers and collection areas on both the right and left sides guard this green well. Back pin placements make it imperative to be on the correct side of the green.

Hole 12 - Yards - Par 4 - Don't be fooled by this short, slight-dogleg right par 4. A tee shot to the left side and short of the fairway bunker will leave a mid to short-iron approach. A large bunker and water on the left, and mounding to the right create a narrow green. The two-tiered green makes your club selection on the approach shot very important.

Hole 13 - Yards - Par 3 - The designation of the number 18 handicap hole on the golf course suggests it is an easy hole to make par. Trees on both sides of the tee make for a visually intimidating shot. The southernmost portion of a large double green is relatively flat, but protected well by a deep bunker to the left.

Hole 14 - Yards - Par 4 - This short par four is the first really good birdie opportunity on the back side. Tall trees to the right and a deep fairway bunker await the errant shot to the right, but a good tee shot leaves a short iron approach to a generous green.

Hole 15 - Yards - Par 5 - The longer hitter can reach the second of three par five holes in two shots, provided the tee shot finds the fairway. The grove of trees through the fairway to the right and out of bounds left create the need for the longer hitter to shape a tee shot right to left. The deepest green on the golf course can create a 5 club difference for a third shot approach depending on the pin placement and trees short and right of the green will hide a pin position in the back portion of this green.

Hole 16 - Yards - Par 4 - Similar to the other short, dogleg par fours, the sixteenth hole requires a long enough tee shot to have a clear shot at the green. The fairway slopes from left to right, often creating an uneven lie. The elevated green can be tough to stop a ball on when forced to hit a mid to long iron approach.

Hole 17 - Yards - Par 3 - Winds can wreak havoc on this medium length par three. Protected by trees, players can not always feel the wind from the tee. One more club than you think is necessary is usually a good idea, as the hole plays a bit uphill and into the typical breeze. The large green is protected front and back by bunkers and a large tree on the right.

Hole 18 - Yards - Par 5 - You are reminded that the end is near by the clubhouse in the background. But a player is a long way from being done. Cypresswood Drive looms on the left hand side for your tee shot, and the hole narrows even more on the second shot with water on the right. Your final approach shot is made difficult by water right and bunkers left. This hole has been the demise of many good rounds, but a birdie here will certainly end your day on a high note.
